Audu Maikori and boss at Chocolate City has been reportedly released from custody.
About 24 hours ago, the internet was clogged up with news of the arrest of the Chocolate City boss in Lagos by men of the Nigerian police force.
In the same vein, an online protest against his detention was immediately initiated to draw attention by celebrities and other sympathizers.
Audu’s release was made possible by the intervention of the former minister of Education Oby Ezekwezili.
This good news was reported by the Former Minister who informed us that Audu Maikori would’ve been taken to court come Monday, 20th of February if she had not intervened in the matter, pleading to Mallam NasirEl-Rufai to accept the apology of Audu Maikori for posting false information about the Southern Kaduna crisis online.
The release of Audu was revealed by Oby Ezekwezili via her official twitter handle
I asked the @GovKaduna to consider @Audu 's apology and his unfortunate arrest as a TEACHABLE MOMENT for both the Government & everyone.

I told @GovKaduna that it was best to FREE @Audu & use this as the Govt's POLICY MOMENT to get its MESSAGE of CONSEQUENCES thru to Public.
