2017 started on a lowkey for our Nigerian musicians, but few have proven to be the best in the sytle of music they do. So here we present to you the best songs in Nigeria for 2017 so far (January – March).
1. Davido – IF (Prod. Tekno) DOWNLOAD
Released in February 2017 and still topping charts till date and will surely with no doubts win an award in the year 2017. Kudos to Davido and Tekno for a wonderful production.
2. Runtown – Mad Over You (Prod. Del’B) DOWNLOAD
This song has been on the top spot, but suddenly came down after Davido’s song “IF” toppled it. But Mad over you is still buzzing everywhere and was ones on Billboard Top 100 around January. Special thanks to Runtown, Del’B, and Tspize for a superb production.
3. P-square – Bank Alert DOWNLOAD
Africa’s biggest acts peter and Paul a.k.a P-square dropped Bank Alert and is still currently getting airplay in the country and abroad.
4. Zoro – Bianca (Prod. Camo) DOWNLOAD
Don’t be surprised to see this song on our list. Zoro’s Bianca is getting radio airplay around the country and this song is a true definition of indigenous hip hop. Without no doubt I can say that Zoro is about to take over Phyno’s spot in the Igbo rap category in Nigeria.
5. Wizkid – Sweet Love DOWNLOAD
Well well well… We had to put this as the last on our list because wizkid didn’t give us what we expected from him. If wizkid drops a jam or not he’s still going to top charts because his fans will stream, download and support him. Sweet Love is good, but wizkid should give is something better next time.
