United Kingdom will send 100 soldiers on a mission to help the Nigerian military fight against the deadly insurgent group, Boko Haram.

The Telegraph reports that the UK has already sent some of its specialists to train Nigerian troops and sent out three RAF Tornados in search of the over 200 abducted Chibok girls.

British military chiefs will be supporting President Goodluck Jonathan, who is under intense pressure to defeat the sect.

The British forces will be giving advice and technical support to the Nigerian army.

A top British military source said: “We have a small military training mission in Nigeria of only around a dozen. We are thinking of boosting that by maybe up to 100 because the Nigerian Army is making woeful progress against Boko Haram. We have a large Nigerian population in Britain and there is a real fear that if Nigeria falls into chaos it could result in attacks here.”

British Daily Mail had today showed a boko haram video where the sect is seen killing elderly civilians in Nigeria.
