The Labour Party denied reports that it endorsed Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate for the 2015 elections.
The party’s National Chairman Abdulkadri Abdulsalam clarified the situation December 30 calling such rumours baseless.
“The party has not endorsed anybody; if we want to endorse anyone as a presidential candidate, we must hold a convention where we will collectively and democratically agree.
“No credible candidate has spoken with us for endorsement; the information going round that we have endorsed Jonathan must be considered as rumour.
“Whatever is our intention to endorse any presidential candidate will be made known because we will definitely meet and endorse who ever we want as a presidential candidate.”
