Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says that heis not under pressure to win trophies at the club contrary to speculations that h will be fired if he fails to win any title this season.

City missed the chance to close the gap on Chelsea at the weekend when they lost at Anfield to Liverpool with the Blues involved in the Capital One Cup final. Now, Jose Mourinho’s men are five points clear at the top of the premier league log with a game in hand.

“I never have any pressure about the amount of titles. The only pressure for me is when I see my team not playing in the way I want themto play,” he told BBC Sport.

“I repeat, when I signed my contract I was not told I had to win one title every year or five in five years. The title is important but not the only important thing.

“Manchester City returns to premier league action on Wednesday when they welcome Leicester City to the Etihad.
