PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI may follow neighbours Chad and Niger in their decision to ban the full Islamic veil due to the incessant use of women dressed in such as suicide bombers.

He made this declaration during the presidential media chat on Wednesday, his first since becoming president.

“Hijab would have to be banned

if suicide bombing continues,” noted Buhari during the chat.

The president also declared that unemployed Nigerians seeking the N5,000 allowances promised by the governing party, All Progressives Congress (APC), during the presidential campaign, may be sent to farms.

“When my VP is quoted, how can I come here and disown it,” he said.

“We may have to send the young unemployed youth seeking N5k fee to farm to earn the money.”
