DJ Obi, one of Nigeria’s foremost DJ’s has announced an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set. The ten-day set will begin from 10 p.m. today, June 22nd through 10 p.m. on July 1st, 2016.
The current record for Longest DJ Set is 200 hours and was set on November 19, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland. Starting today, DJ Obi attempts to make history with a continuous 240 hour set at Sao Café located in Lekki Phase One.
Speaking on his record-breaking attempt DJ Obi says, “This is a dream that we’ve been working on for over eight months. It means a lot to me and there’s no better way to show the world that Nigerian DJ’s are a force. I’m excited the day to finally get started is here.
