Ahead of the general elections next month and the campaign rally of its Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress has inaugurated its Campaign Coordinating Committee in Ondo State.
Buhari is expected in Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday, January 24 to woo voters and shore up his acceptance ahead of the elections.
State Chairman of APC, Isaac Kekemeke, while inaugurating the committee on Wednesday in Akure, remarked that the APC was the destination for those who are interested in rescuing the nation.
According to him, the goodwill enjoyed by the party in the state must be translated to electoral success and victory in the coming election.
Kekemeke urged the committee members to swing into action immediately as there was only less than twenty days to the election.
The different committees include, Mobilization, Planning and Strategy, Faith based, Research and Documentation, Media and Security.
While noting that membership of the committee was a call to service, Kekemeke said it was part of the effort in contributing to the success of Gen. Buhari in next month’s election.
“APC is the new destination for people seeking to rescue this country from destruction. We must ensure that we work hard to ensure victory for our party and General Muhammadu Buhari in next month’s election,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the committee members, former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Victor Olabimtan, thanked the party leadership for the opportunity given them to contribute to the development and success of the party.
He assured that the committee members would work assiduously to ensure that APC wins convincingly in the presidential and legislative elections.
