The Ondo State All Peoples Congress has condemned the delay in releasing the results from the polls held in the state saying it gives room for suspicions of attempts to manipulate results.

The APC Chairman in Ondo, Isaac Kekemke, said on Sunday afternoon that the delay in releasing the results close to 24-hours after it had been concluded allows for suspicion that attempts are being made to release contrary results to those obtained from different polling units.

“Of course, the delay is giving room for suspicion. We have the results in our hands as given to us by our respective agents in the polling units, we will not accept any doctoring of the results,” he stated.
According to Mr. Kekemke, results of other polls in the past was usually out by noo

While the APC Chairman passed a vote of confidence on the Resident Electoral commissioner of the state, Olusegun Agbaje, he was quick to state that he cannot vouch for the total uprightness of the other electoral officers involved in the process of collating and releasing the result.

In the earlier report by PREMIUM TIMES it was stated that journalists were asked to return by 4 p.m for the announcement of results. But with the arrival of more collating officers, the wait for the official polls results may take more time than envisaged.
