A Court of Appeal seating in Abuja has dismissed the appeal of Bukola Saraki.
The Abuja division dismissed all 5 matter raised by the Senate President in his appeal against the Code of Conduct tribunal. Two of the three panel of judges saw his appeal as lacking any merit. This new occurence means the Code of Conduct will proceed with Saraki’s trial for false declaration of assets while he was the governor of Kwara state.
Saraki is being tried on a 13 count charge of false asset declaration when he was Kwara state governor. He is expected to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on November 5th.
