Arsenal Football Club has celebrated Nigeria’s independence in Pidgin English.
The football club based in North London, in a tweet on Tuesday, posted a picture of former Nigerian international, Kanu Nwankwo, as an icon to mark Nigeria’s 59th independence anniversary.
“Chei! Abeg comot for road! Today, Nigeria celebrates independence! 
Best wishes to you, Naija Gooners,” the tweet read.
Kanu signed for Arsenal for approximately £4.15 million in 1999.
He scored over 40 goals for the Gunners until his departure in 2004.
