Arsenal has confirmed the signing of Kristoffer Olsson, though it might not be a player Arsenal fans are waiting for but this player is Superb.
It is barely a week into the January transfer window and Arsenal have already completed two transfers, though they probably aren’t the transfers fans of the Emirates Stadium club were hoping for.
The Gunners have officially confirmedthat Kristoffer Olsson has completed a permanent move to FC Midtjylland, bringing to an end what at one point looked a promising career in north London. The 19-year-old had been on loan with them from the start of the season.
Olsson had been at Arsenal since his early teens and, despite only being given a single opportunity in the first team by Arsene Wenger, looked one of the more level-headed and technically proficient of his age group at the club.
Wenger obviously felt there was not enough there for the club to persist with him and there is no mention of any fee to complete the deal, so it is likely nominal. A diminutive midfielder, Olsson never looked physically ready for the Premier League and that may have been a contributing factor.
It follows on Lukas Podolski’s move to Inter Milan, which was confirmed this week. He will remain n loan at the San Siro for the remainder of the season with a view to a permanent move in the summer, bringing to an end a frustrating couple of years with the Gunners.
