No fewer than 20 women have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members near Chibok in Borno State.
According to Bloomberg, a United States-based news agency, and The Guardian of London, the 20 women were whisked away after the gunmen attacked a nomadic settlement known as Garkin Fulani during the weekend.
The papers quoted one Alhaji Tar, a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, as saying that the women were captured into waiting vehicles at gunpoint and took off to an unknown location.
