Former Minister of Education and the pioneer Ondo State Labour Party Chairman, Dr. Olaiya Oni is dead.
Oni died at the age of 74 today, after being hospitalized at undisclosed pr*vate hospital in Akure, the Ondo state.
Family sources said Oni had been battling with health challenges since 2012, which was one of the reasons he relocated from Akure to his home town, Ise-Akoko, Akoko North East local government area of the state.
It was gathered that the former minister’s health degenerated three days ago and he was rushed from Ise-Akoko to Akure before he gave up the ghost.
