The days of Coach Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City looks numbered and the top officials at the Etihad are said to be drawing up a rich list of successors; topping the list is current Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti.
As reported by the Daily Star, even though Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is seen as City’s number one target should they sack Pellegrini, the top hierarchy of the club are said to be favourably disposed to going for Italian Ancelotti who is no stranger in the EPL after a successful stint with Chelsea.
The season is by no means looking good for City as the Premier League champions are in danger of being knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage following a first leg 2-1 defeat to Barcelona last week.
The Citizens also have it tough in the League where they are five points adrift of Chelsea who have a game at hand?It is also believed that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is also on the ambitious shortlist drawn by City.
