Last night a commercial bus popularly known as Agolo in Akungba hit a 200L student of department of microbiology and he has been confirmed dead at Ajex junction
Trouble started when students were mobilised in the streets of Akungba protesting against the killing of their colleague, that was killed in an accident.
8 students fainted when the police Force and Army opened teargas and were shooting sporadically into the air. Reports reaching us now states that the patients are responding to treatment and 2 of them have been discharged.
Addressing the angry students, the SUG president in person of Reformer gave the students assurance that everything has been put to order and that the campus is safe. that he gave Akungba community an ultimatum of 24hrs to produce the driver of the bus that killed the student because it was learnt that the suspect fled after the crime.
Meanwhile, the victim of the accident is lying in the morgue at Ikare. May his soul rest in Peace.
