Before his acceptance speech was cut off, Drake was delivering on a pretty inspiring speech when he took to the stage to accept the award for Best Rap Song at the 61st Grammy Awards ceremony.

Sunday night, Drizzy beat out colleagues Travis Scott (“SICKO MODE”), Jay Rock (“King’s Dead” and “WIN”), and Eminem (“Lucky You”) to take the trophy home for “God’s Plan.”

“We play in an opinion-based sport, not a factual-based sport,” he began in his speech. “The point is, you’ve already won if you have people who are singing your songs word for word, if you’re a hero in your hometown. Look, if there’s people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain and snow, spending money to buy tickets to your shows, you don’t need this right here. You already won.”

This now marks the second time that Drake has earned the honor of Best Rap Song, having won the award in 2017 for “Hotline Bling.” At this year’s ceremonies, Drake was up for a total of five awards that include Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and twice for Best Rap Performance.
