A final year Mass Communication student of the Auchi Polytechnic, Edo state, has been killed by a bike, just 17 days to his graduation.
Ahmed Garba was hit by a motorcycle, on Wednesday, at the school gate, while on his way to see his project supervisor.
He was subsequently rushed to MG hospital, where he eventually died on Thursday. Garba, an orphan, was meant to sign out as an undergraduate on October, 27, 2018.
The sad news was broken by Wap Junior, a student of the same Auchi Polytechnic, who is known to report stories of happening in the institution on his Facebook page.
Announcing the news in pidgin English, Wap Junior wrote:
“Breaking News!!
“The ND final year Mass Communication student, Auchi Poly way Bike hit for front of school gate yesterday on his way to go see him project supervisor Don die this morning for MG hospital Sabo, Edo state,
“and him get exam this morning to write by 11am ans him supposed graduate this month 27th October 2018…
“According to report way we gather, the late Joshua(not his real name) no get mama again, na only papa and his younger ones….
“May his soul rest in peace…
