Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, 90, was hospitalized in Houston, Texas, late on Tuesday after experiencing shortness of breath, a spokesman for the 41st commander-in-chief said in a statement.
He is expected to remain in the hospital for a while as his spokesman, Jim McGrath says that the former president “will be held for observation, again as a precaution.”
H.W Bush, who was in office from 1989 to 1993, is also the father of former President, George W. Bush who served from 2001 to 2009.
The 90-year-old is the oldest living former US president and a World War II veteran.
