Fuji maestro and Wasbar Records C.E.O, Pasuma Wonder, who only just dropped the official visuals to his “Ogede Ti Pon” offering, signs creative producer/artiste, Frankie Free, to his label; Frankie Free, who has, before now held up strongly on the Nigerian music scene, finally gets due credence for his feat/drive so far on his own.
As a producer, Frankie Free has over time churned out offerings that have become nation-wide hits; playing a massive role with production credits on the Benin Republican artiste, Lace‘s “Benin 2 Naija” album, Frankie Free churned out the nation-wide hit-single, “Change My Story,” which till date, remains a favorite on playlists and dance floors; he, alongside female producer, DJ Toxiq-A, are currently working with the Fuji legend, Pasuma Wonder, as he sets about the release of his Hip-Hop album, which already sees debut singles, “Abo,” “Oti Clear,” “Ogede Ti Pon” and “Omolope Shope” doing well so far.
As an artiste, the young chap has to his name, a number of records, churned out in finesse form; his “Diary Of A Hustler” mix-tape, a 17-track mix-tape was released in the month of April in the year 2013. The mix-tape, which had songs spanning through different genres of music [including originally self-produced offerings] featured songs such as “Nawti [an Olu Maintain cover],” “E Sweet Me And I Like Am [ESMAILA],” “Kumbaya,” “Roll-1 Remix [featuring Erigga]” and other notable tunes; the promising artiste/producer had set out to creating a long-lasting impact/impression on theNigerian music scene, as well as in diaspora, as he carefully made popular song covers, sampled classics and dished out originals. Early 2014 saw Frankie Free release a collaboration single with Dozage Records recording act, Lace; in what would be seen as the replacement to the harmony and good music churned out by D’banj and Don Jazzy years ago,Frankie Free and Lace also exhumed brilliance when they worked together. Following on from the nation-wide hit, “Change My Story,” both were on a DJ Toxiq-A produced offering titled “Keep Rolling,” an offering which would not come to pass as it was, but came through with a video likewise. Prior to the release of the official visuals to “Keep Rolling,” Frankie Free gave us a clear perception of what he had going on with the release of this Erigga-featured/DJ Toxiq-A produced tune titled “Nintendo“; this would go on to be another offering which wouldn’t go un-noticed following previously materials, one of which was his “Turn Off The Light” offering.
With 2015 off to a good start, Frankie Free, the latest signing to Pasuma Wonder‘s Wasbar Records, lets out an offering – the DJ Toxiq-A produced and Pasuma Wonder featured tune titled “Number 6,” listen up and share your thoughts. | ENJOY!!!
