A robbery suspect, Gbenga Ashiru, has claimed that most of the proceeds from his heists go to celebrated Fuji artistes, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall aka K1 de Ultimate and Alhaji Pasuma Wonder.
The 24-year old Gbenga said that he derives pleasure in showing off his money at any of these artiste’s shows especially because of the high risk of his ‘lucrative’ robbery job.
The dare-devil robbery suspect who was arrested by the operatives of the State Anti-Robbery Special Squad, Ikeja following a tip-off, said that he kept robbing so that he could raise more money to spray on the Fuji stars.
“I robbed in order to raise money that I will use to spray these Fuji artists while on stage. Anytime I succeeded in any robbery operation, I don’t miss KWAM 1 and Pasuma Wonder Shows,” he said.
Gbenga also asserted that armed robbery is one of the quickest, very lucrative but dangerous job in the world. He said that it was justified for people like him who risks their lives to enjoy himself as well as spend his money as he likes.
He is still being kept at the SARS office, where he is assisting the police in their investigation. He would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
