“Game of Thrones” actor Kristofer Hivju announced on Monday March 16, that he will be going into self-quarantine after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Norwegian actor who played Tormund Giantsbane on the HBO series, disclosed this in an Instagram photo with his wife. Though it is unclear if his wife have the virus, Hivju however disclosed that his symptoms were mild.
He wrote;
“Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My familiy and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold.
“There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.”
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has passed 179,000 worldwide, and roughly 1,300 confirmed cases of the virus have been reported in Norway.
This is coming after British actor, Idris Elba also disclosed that he tested positive for coronavirus after coming in contact with someone who has the virus.
