The first issue of the digital publication which promises to be a visual spectacle; arrives with a double cover as it seeks to game and promote creative across Africa.

 

HOW ZED EYE FINDS A STYLE IDENTITY IN JUST A FEW INCHES OF HAIR

 

Our first issue cover star Zed Eye knows a bit more about range – particularly when it comes to her hair. The UK trained fashion designer and inborn stylist, who styles the likes of Jesse Jags, Chidinma, Oluchi Orlandi – has spent a career turning would-be styles on them, while on her own, just a few inches of textured front roll raven curls allows her some unexpected metamorphoses with each red carpet appearance. Zed eye who admits to snipping and arranging her own hair between stylist appointments – might seem to have an offhand attitude towards her trademark blonde abbreviated length front roll, where it’s not for the array of polished styles that makes up her evening-out-arsenal.

IT’S THE POE’S WAY

 

It’s one of the last days of November, and I am in my very rustic studio, which happens to be in my family house, in Lagos, around where the setting for Ladipoe’s Bo shoot. The youthful rap artist appears after a few wait, fresh from the studio, where he had been putting finishing touches on some new work he’s putting out soon. He is wearing a casual black tee and smart pants well sit-ted on him, a simple flip-flop and portable duffel bag with some grooming essentials. He shook me hello and swung inside where the photographer awaits him.
