Red-hot Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo was yet again among the goal-scorer for Watford as he scored the opening goal in the seven-goal thriller in their 3-4 away game against Bolton Wanderers at the Rebook Stadium.
Ighalo opened the flood gate of goals with his 25thminute strike but Bolton soon rallied back for an equaliser when in the 37thminute Zach Clough turned Feeney’s cross home from close range albeit in controversial circumstances.
Bolton before the half time break turned the tables as they shot in front in the 41stminute courtesy of a strike from Adam Le Fondre.
There was to be plenty of drama in the second half when after several missed chances by both teams as Watford’s Abdi picked up the ball 25 yards from goal and unleashed a powerful strike into the top corner in the 69th minute to make scores 2-2.
Both teams then added one-goal apiece before the 90thminute but that was not the end of proceedings as goal in extra time from Troy Deeney saw Watford running away with all three points as the game ended 3-4 in favour of the visitors.
