Defender Jeremy Mathieu scored the only goal of the game as Barcelona edged out stubborn Celta Vigo to restore their four-point lead over Real Madrid in La Liga’s title race.
The French centre-half thundered a header past Sergio Alvarez on 73 minutes to break the hosts’ resistance at Balaidos and maintain their advantage over second-placed Los Blancos.
