Just days after it was revealed Jay Z dissed him on the 4:44 cut “Kill Jay Z,” Kanye West has reportedly split from Hov’s growing streaming service TIDAL.
TMZ reports that a month ago Kanye’s lawyer sent a letter to TIDAL, saying the company was in breach and their contract was terminated. Over the next two weeks lawyers for both sides tried to resolve the conflict but failed.
West and his camp claim to be owed $3 million that he was to receive as a pre-determined bonus for helping TIDAL gain 1.5 million subscribers with his album The Life Of Pablo. That’s a pretty big deal considering TIDAL barely had 1.5 million subscribers total when Kanye released his LP.
TIDAL’s lawyers have already stated that they will sue Yeezus if he brings his music to any competing services.
