The management of Kwara United has approved the sack of its technical adviser, Tunde Abdulrahman after going without a win in six successive league games.
The Harmony Warriors suffered their second consecutive home defeat of the season in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to visiting Sharks at the Kwara Sports Stadium.
He was replaced by the team’s chief coach Tunde Sanni, who has been placed on half salary alongside the other members of the technical crew.
A statement was issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Kwara Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Rhoda Ajiboye following a brief meeting with the management and technical crew of the club.
According to Ajiboye, the suspension became necessary in view of the present poor run of form of the team.
She urged the management to rise to the occasion as no any act of negligence will be entertained from them henceforth and has promised adequate government backing during the reopening of the transfer window.
Coach Sanni who takes charge of the team with immediate effect will begin his duty in a Week 18 encounter against FC IfeanyiUbah on Wednesday, July 15.
The Ilorin club are 17th on the NPFL log with 16 points from 16 games.
