frontBecoming relevant in the industry you have to keep up with the latest trends and also to be very hard working. 3 years ago I decided to start the magazine with little or no funding and no ideal understanding of what we could become. Starting VL wasn’t really easy, when I did my very first photo shot for my cover I had to borrow money to travel to Lagos and pay for a session. The breakthrough finally came when we featured top namibian singer LADY MAY which was also published by a top namibian newspaper called “THE NAMIBIAN”.. In just 3 years of existence we have become the biggest and best digital magazine in Africa and we have had the some of the biggest Nigerian/African  stars on our magazine cover, to mention a few Yemi Alade, Emma Nyra, Lady May, Weza Solange, Niyola, Melvin Oduah, Mi Casa, Skales, Chika Ike, Amanda Ebeye, Christabel Ekeh, Mimi Orjiekwe, Kaffy,Ruth Kadiri ,Juliet Ibrahim, Idris Sultan,Vanessa Mdee, Niniola and Many more. I am proud of what VL have achieved in the last 3 years. This anniversary edition is dedicated to my late father Dr Chris Olele, my amazing brothers (Christian, Alex, Eugene, Benjay and Isaac) ,my mum and all true VL fans all over the world.

On the cover we have American based Nigerian visual artist Laolu senbanjo popularly known for his work on beyonce lemonade album and he has worked with stars like beyonce, Jidenna, Serena Williams, Lupita and many more.
