Nigeria was held to a goalless draw by Mexico last week in a friendly and remains Africa’s seventh ranked team, behind Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Egypt, Cape Verde Islands, Ghana and Tunisia. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are just behind in eighth place.
Spain remains the number one team in the world, followed by Germany. Portugal and Colombia retain their fourth and fifth spots respectively. World Cup hosts Brazil are in ninth position.
