The magic touches of Nigerian striker Brown Ideye seems to have deserted him again as he crashed out with West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday following the 2-0 defeat suffered in the hands of Aston Villa.

Ideye failed to bury the glorious chances that came his way and that means his dream of playing at the magnificent Wembley Stadium is up in flames.

Second-half goals from Fabian Delph and Scott Sinclair were all that was required of the now rejuvenated Aston Villa team to progress into the semis at the expense of the Baggies.

Saturday’s win means Aston Villa have now beaten West Bromwich Albion twice in a week having recorded a last-gasp victory in their EPL clash earlier in the week.

Liverpool are to take on Blackburn Rovers while Manchester United and Arsenal will be locked in a titanic battle in the other quarter final pairings of the English FA Cup as Villa will now patiently wait for who will semi final foes in Monday’s draws.
