Nwachukwu chukwuma Godwin, Student university of Lagos, Nigeria. A big lover of sports, play basketball and football.
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR IDEA OR CONCEPT FOR THE BUSINESS? (TELL US THE NAME, HOW IT CAME UP.. ETC…)
Thewawabrand (we are what you admire) is a fashion accessory and clothing line store based in Lagos Nigeria. Wawa was borne from a name given to me by me, basically it was a nick I gave my self. Then we went ahead with the design special shout-out to barcarey fragments for the design.
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THIS BUSINESS ?
clothing is one of the basic necessities of life. Choosing to attend to one of man’s needs was just a fundamental idea. Lol I guess hunger was part of it too “they say hunger brings out the talent in you”
WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT YOUR BRAND ?
I want to believe we are the first brand in Nigeria to give people custom made caps. Customer service is of high priority cause you are special to us. Just like the swoosh logo no order logo is as outstanding as ours.
HOW MANY CITIES HAVE YOUR BRAND REACHED SO FAR LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY ?
locally Lagos internationally London, pittsburg and Maryland but not that we have stores in the international market yet, a few individuals have got our merch there. By God’s Grace our store would be out there soon.
HOW MANY EMPLOYEES WORK FOR YOU OR ARE YOU ALONE ? (OR DO YOU REALLY PLAN TO HAVE AS TIME GOES ON ?)
We are just two I and my partner in person of oluwalayomi Cole (chief operating officer) we are open to more hands and investment opportunities as time goes by.
WHAT ARE YOUR SETBACKS AND BARRIERS IN YOUR BUSINESS AS A START-UP ENTREPRENEUR ?
The Wawa brand don’t believe in setbacks, setbacks are what you make of it. I would say challenges and one of it was and is capital but either ways we started with we had and we are here today.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE ?
Future plans should I be disclosing tha, Expansion definitely and continue to get people waw’D’up .
