Commenting on #BaseRateOrHate, Head of Marketing and Communications, Nigeria at Viacom International Media Networks Africa, Collette Otusheso said,
“MTV Base has given a lot of Nigerian artistes a huge platform to grow and improve over the years and it makes us happy to continue in this tradition. We decided that the process should be democratised, and our viewers who actually watch the video content on MTV Base should be the ones to decide which upcoming artiste they want to listen to and see on TV. #BaseRateOrHate is a game changing platform for future music stars in Nigeria because it places the power to become known and liked squarely in the hands of viewers. We are very proud to once again be at the forefront of promoting Nigerian talent the right way as is our tradition.”
#BaseRateOrHate is the latest in a series of interactive platforms by MTV Base which continues to to set the pace as a dynamic and responsive media channel. You can join the conversation and rate the featured upcoming artistes on Twitter using the hashtag #BaseRateOrHate.
