The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria has qualified for the Under-17 World Cup in Chile after they dismantled the Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia 3-1 in their final Group A match at the ongoing African U-17 Championship in Niger.
Before the game the Eaglets had drawn against Guinea with their only win coming against host nation Niger but as World Champions they needed to put in a credible performance to impress manager Emmanuel Amuneke who felt let down by the boys display in their last game.
However, it took the Eaglets 36 minutes before Victor Osimhen opened scoring and on the stroke of half-time Captain Kelechi Nwakali increased the tally to 2-0.
It was pure joy for the technical crew when Victor Osimhen grabbed his second of the night to make it 3-0 three minutes after the second half restart.
The Zambians got their consolation goal through Patson Daka on 61 minutes toend the game 3-1 as the Eaglets celebrates their qualification to the semifinal of the competition and the World Cup.
