A Nigerian who was caught with drugs in Turin on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, reportedly bit off Italian policeman’s ring finger after taken to the police station. The 23-year-old Nigerian man who had drugs in his pocket at the Di Vittorio gardens in the Mirafiori area on Tuesday, attacked the agent who was photographing him for processing and reportedly bit off the phalanx of the policeman’s left ring finger.
Sharing the story on his Twitter handle to ramp up his anti-immigrant rhetoric, Italy’s far-right Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini wrote;
“No tolerance for the delinquents. I am happy that the Security Decree works. The Nigerian may be expelled thanks to the Security Decree, which allows for the removal of asylum seekers who commit crimes and who are not entitled to protection.”
