According to Italian website, Tuttomercatoweb.com, Greek club Panathinaikos have joined the queue of European clubs rumoured to be interested in signing Azubuike Egwuekwe from Warri Wolves.
Egwuekwe who has been linked with West Ham, Penafiel, Watford and Udinese is reported keen on a January switch after Warri Wolves refused to register him for this year’s CAF Confederations Cup.
The 25 year old is currently with the Super Eagles ‘B’ team ahead of a friendly against Yemen on Saturday also hinted that he has received several interests from clubs in Eurpoe.
“Offers are coming from overseas, I have an offer from an EPL club, the (English) Championship and in Russia,” he disclosed.
