Following reports that the Federal government has signed a memorandum of understanding with NASCO Foods limited, Jos for commercial production of high nutrient density biscuit for the national school feeding programme -in a bid to keeping to its campaign promises of providing quality education in the country.
Below is what senator Ben Murray Bruce posted on his Facebook page few minutes ago on the issue;
If we really want to improve education, Nigeria’s immediate priority should be to #PayTeachersWell before giving Nasco biscuit to pupils. Even if we give students all the Nasco biscuit in the world and we do not #PayTeachersWell, we will end up with biscuit illiterates.
If we do not #PayTeachersWell and we give them Nasco biscuits to give their students, guess whose stomach the biscuits are going to end up in?
