The FCT Police Command has arraigned Sen. Elisha Abbo (PDP – Adamawa North) at a Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja for assault.
Recall that a video had circulated showing the senator landing slaps on a woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja earlier in the year.
Abbo later apologised for his action, which attracted widespread condemnation.

The police reportedly established a prima facie case against Abbo, who is regarded as the youngest member of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
The Commissioner, FCT Police Command, Bala Ciroma, confirmed the development.
