The rapper – whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson – was tragically killed in an apparent home invasion last week in the Hollywood Hills at age 20.
The Los Angeles County coroner revealed on Monday (February 24) that Pop died specifically from a gunshot wound to his torso, the New York Daily News reports.
The suspects were still at large with no arrests reported as of Monday morning, a police spokeswoman said.
“Robbery still could be the motive; however, at this time we’re unable to substantiate that,” Los Angeles Police Robbery Homicide Division Capt. Jonathan Tippet told the outlet. “It’s a possibility that this was not intended to be a robbery.”
