Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract at Santiago Bernabeu with another one year which will last till the summer of 2022.

The Real Madrid captain will extend his 15-year career with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit if he agrees on the one-year deal contract Perez is keen on offering the defender.

Ramos is entering the final year of his contract with the Spanish giants and Real Madrid is keen on giving him a year extension, according to report in AS.

The 34-year-old remains an automatic starter in Zinedine Zidane’s side and the proposal of an extension until 2022 will take him beyond his 36th birthday.

Ramos is yet to sanction the year contract and it is unclear if Ramos will accept the offer of a one-year extension but they add that he has designs on playing in America’s MLS before he retires. He then has ambitions to go into coaching.

The centre back has played 34 games for Real Madrid this season and scored seven goals in the process. He helped Real Madrid to secure four Champions League titles, La Liga titles and other titles as well.
