It has been officially announced that the Motswako rapper Khuli Chana will be the host alongside Lesedi FM host Twala Seoke of SAMAs25 to take place on the 1st of June 2019.
This year the event decided to mix things up by bringing together big stars from various sectors of media to join forces and present to people what is expected to be the 25th Anniversary of the awards. The two stars will be joined by the likes of radio mogul Bob Mabena and Melanie Bala.
To sparkle up and shed some humor to the day will be the likes of comedian Mpho Popps alongside Nomzamo Mbatha. To host the first night of the show will be the voice most have known for more than a decade Hlulisani Ravele, except her session won’t broadcast live.
“We look forward to sharing memorable SAMA moments, from their humble beginnings and how different genres have evolved in the last 25 years to reflect the country’s evolution. There is no doubt that South Africans live music and appreciate its meaning and impact in their lives, that is why the SAMAs continue to honour the artists through this premium event,” said Recording Industry of South Africa RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi.
The show is set to take place on the 1st of June 2019. Khuli Chana will be hosting the show for the first time and here’s what tweeps had to say about him going out there to be the face of Hip hop as the presenter :
I really like the direction #SAMA25 went with its hosts this year. 6 hosts representing 3 different eras! ?
