The striker has scored four goals in 13 Premier League appearances but remains “convinced” he will begin to improve his record.
Roberto Soldado admits he is unhappy with his scoring record at Tottenham but is “convinced” he will improve his return in front of goal this season.
The 28-year-old striker, who joined White Hart Lane in a €31 million deal from Valencia in August, has notched just four times in 13 Premier League games, three of which have come from the penalty spot.
When asked by The Telegraph if he was happy with his goal return this term, Soldado replied:
“No Definitely not. Much less. A lot of my goals have come from the penalty spot.
“I want to score more goals than I am doing at the moment. That is why they signed me. I have been doing it all my career. I haven’t done so far here, but I am convinced I will get there.
“We are trying to score, we create chances but we are not taking them. We need to keep going, working hard and the goals will come.
“I am doing all I can but goals are what the coach is looking for in a forward.”
