Shots of words was fired at Ice-Prince Zamani… by an East African rapper named Mwafreeka Mwaf. This dude called Ice-Prince a cat. He dissed him because of his twist of the African dream in his video, N-WORD.
Mwaf said in his statement that he had Just watched a video by some Nigerian cat called Ice Prince and the song is called N Word and he is actually sad,, he said HipHop to him, has also been an avenue of self expression and for, as said in the 90s, “Keeping It Real”.
He told to Zamani to understand the culture of rap before going on to rap about vanities so as to get famous or to be known as a ‘rapper’ because international rappers, unlike him, can afford the cars and houses that they rap or sing about. He told the rapper directly to cherish and represent the continent than make them look like clowns.
He said:
”Understand the culture punks and stop embarrassing yourselves. Jay Z,Beyoncé and Lil Wayne can afford Bugattis, and you can’t.” “F**k your UNREALISTIC dream, am shitting on your dream. Use Hip Hop to represent Africa not to portray us as clowns.”
