The Management of University of Lagos has said they will be testing their new students for drugs and other banned substances.

UNILAG’S Principal Assistant Registrar, Communication Unit, Mrs Taiwo Oloyede, in a statement said the school would withdraw the admission status for any prospective intake who fails the drug test as they intend to make their school’s environment a drug-free academic community.

This test is deemed compulsory and would be administered on new students before they are allowed to go ahead with their registration as this would also be of a large benefit to their students and the society in a whole.

The statement finally advised students to be of good conduct always, be law-abiding and peaceful.
