Juliet Ibrahim finally drops the official video to her single ‘It’s Over Now’ a duet with Nigeria’s Reggae and dance-hall superstar General Pype. Backed by a thrum of guitar and bass, her determined vocals waver between tender and devastated while it perfectly encapsulates the weariness and resignation all too often experienced during a breakup or split, in that period between acceptance and finally moving on.
General Pype’s impassioned delivery bolstered the tune with a fiery perspective by projecting an astonishing vulnerability and true shock at this sudden disparity between his feelings and her lack thereof. ‘It’s Over Now’ is Juliet Ibrahim’s official second single off her anticipated Album release slated for early 2015.
The track was produced by First King Music and the video was directed by Nigeria’s own Catalyst with star features by Mofe Duncan and the beautiful Lizzy Scott.
