Watford have been promoted back to the Premier League after eight years outside of the top flight.
The Hornets’2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at lunchtime meant that they would go up should both Middlesbrough and Norwich City fail to win this afternoon.
Norwich conceded a late equaliser against Rotherham United, while Boro lost 4-3against Fulham as they gambled for a stoppage-time winner.
Watford are now four points clear at the top of the table and will be crowned champions should Bournemouth lose to Bolton Wanderers on Monday.
Slavisa Jokanovic took over at Vicarage Road in October, becoming the club’s fourth manager of the season after Beppe Sannino,Oscar Garcia and Billy McKinlay.Next season will be Watford’s third in the Premier League.
They have never previously avoided immediate relegation back into the second tier.
