Why Cassper Wishes He Was A Nigerian. Cassper has made it clear that he isn’t all the way proud of being a South African and wishes that he was a Nigerian instead.
Cassper has long been making headlines based on his views about SA Hip Hop. The views have been anything from him feeling disregarded by the genre to him feeling SA Hip Hop lacks unity because there’s so much hate.
On Friday the rapper stated that SA could be as best as Nigeria in music but there’s no support and love.
“We could have the same thing but nah, we would rather fight amongst ourselves and cut down our airplay to cut the reach. Disrespect our own sound and artists. That’s our vibe here. Niggas not playing your music cause they don’t like you, you know? Those vibes. We lost!” he tweeted.
The debate brewed up between the rapper and other artists such as Euphonik and Zakes Bantwini. It was within those debates Cassper made a comment that he wishes to be Nigerian because of the authenticity of their music and how they support one another.
“Won’t even lie. I wish I was from Nigeria too. the love they have for their own artists, the way they celebrate their culture. 90% local content on radio and TV. The way their celebrate their own music no matter where they are in the world. The unity within their music – A dream,” he wrote.
The rapper also once tweeted that he tried to form unity on SA hip hop but failed because other rappers have been ignoring him.
“Niggas ignoring my phone calls and Dms. Nobody wants to fuck with each other ouchea. It’s all Egos. Who gone make it on his own? Thats the race we running in SA,” he wrote.
