'I just think about Milan' - Zapata rules out Manchester United switch

Recent speculation has linked the Colombia international to Old Trafford, with Phil Neville reportedly sent to assess the versatile defender, but he has dismissed talk of an exit AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata has dismissed talk of a January move to Manchester United, insisting he has no intention of leaving San Siro.

Reports in the English media suggested on Sunday that the
Premier League champions had recently sent coach Phil Neville to watch the 27-year-old in action with boss David Moyes keen to bolster his ranks.

However, the Colombia international – who can play at both centre-back and full-back, has played down the speculation.

When asked about a link with United, Zapata told reporters:
“No, I do not know anything. I just think about Milan. I have a contract until 2016 and I want to stay here.”

Zapata was speaking after Milan drew 2-2 at home to Roma on
Monday night, a result which leaves them 10th in the table.
