Red Carpet Arrival
As the youngest person in the world to show their self produced work in a commercial cinema at age 12, Zuriel Oduwole arrived at the 2015 AMVCA as a special of the organizers at Africa’s prestigious movie awards event held at the EKo hotel in Lagos – Nigeria.

From her arrival moment at the Red Carpets to her walk through the TV interview corridor, she was a center of attraction in her elegant Made in Nigeria evening gown by “Little Weavers”, as TV stations and media houses invited her to speak to their audience. Zuriel also made new friend’s at the event, including Nollywood veterans Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva, OC Ukeje, Julius Agwu, Funke Akindele, and a few others who came to celebrate Africa’s best movie makers.

The young film maker and child education advocate is home schooled by her parents along with her younger siblings. Over the last 2 and half years, she has focused on telling Africa’s story via a series of compelling documentary, and in making the case for educating children. She has spoken to more than 20,000 children in 7 countries about the importance of education, as well as sat down with 1 in 6 of Africa’s 54 heads of government to talk Education policy.
