Nigeria Beat Morocco 6-1 To Qualifies For 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas

Nigeria will represent Africa at the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas, after they crushed Morocco 6-1 in the semi-finals of the 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.

Abu Azeez scored twice for the Sand Eagles, while Emmanuel Owhoferia, Suleiman Ogodo and Emeka Ogbona also scored for the hosts, as they clinched an easy win against Mustapha El Hadaoui’s team. Sami Lazal got the only goal for the North Africans.

Nigeria have participated in four Beach World Cups, with their best performances coming in the 2007 and 2011 editions, when they reached the quarter-finals. They will now play Senegal in the final of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
